This section of our reference pages will compile these requests, hoping that occasional visitors can help committed students and listeners in recovering the lost gems of Mande music.
This site is an ongoing venture, so feel free to submit your request to be posted here. Please include as much information as you have available, to increase the chance that your quest for a certain recording gets the support it deserves!

| REMARKS: | There's a djembe master from Mali (Bamako) now in Amsterdam, Holland.His name is SEGA SIDIBE and there's a set of three CDs that go together.The first one is called : " SEGA SIDIBE, Rhythmes du Mali".This one and the two other ones has the character of a lesson-CD. For the Second CD it reads : "SEGA SIDIBE, Phrases de Solo Volume 1". It contains the dunun part and solo phrases for DANSA, DEMBA FOLY and SOUKOU. For the Third CD it reads : "SEGA SIDIBE, Phrases de Solo Volume 2". It contains the dunun parts and solo phrases of GARAN KE FOLI (rhythm of the leatherworkers) MADAN, and MENDIANI. The label reads only : P & C 1999 BAGOLO FO may have been produced in France |
